Cookie notice
The shortest cookie notice you'll read this year, because we don't set any.
anglerfulfilment.co.uk sets no cookies at all. No analytics, no advertising or retargeting pixels, no session recording, no browser storage. That is why you have never seen a cookie banner here — there is nothing for you to accept or reject.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. They are used to make sites work, to remember your choices, and to understand how a site is used. “Similar technologies” means pixels, tags and browser storage that do the same kinds of jobs.
2. The law
In the UK, cookies are governed by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) together with the UK GDPR. Strictly necessary cookies can be set without consent; anything else — analytics, marketing, personalisation — needs your consent before it is set. We avoid the question entirely by not setting cookies.
3. What we do instead
We do not measure you. We have no analytics platform, so we cannot tell you how many people read this page, and we have decided that is an acceptable trade. What we do have is the standard server log our hosting provider keeps — IP address, page requested, timestamp, browser type — which exists to serve pages and block abuse, is not a cookie, and is not used for measurement or marketing.
The one thing on the site that could look like a cookie and isn't: the pricing calculator on our pricing page runs entirely in your browser and remembers nothing. Close the tab and it is gone.
4. Third-party requests our pages make
We set no cookies of our own, and we embed no third-party trackers. There is one external request:
| What | Provider | Why | Cookies set |
|---|---|---|---|
| Web font (Inter) | Google Fonts | Serves the typeface used across the site | None. Google receives your IP address and browser type as part of the request |
If you would rather your browser did not make that request, block third-party requests or use an extension that does. The site falls back to a standard system typeface and everything still works.
Our WhatsApp button is an ordinary link. Nothing is sent to WhatsApp or Meta unless you click it, and at that point you leave our site and their privacy terms apply.
5. Forms
Our quote form and the newsletter signup in the footer are both processed by Netlify, who host this site. Submitting either one sends your details to Netlify and then to us. Neither involves cookies, but both involve a transfer of your data to a US company — explained in Section 8 of our privacy policy.
The newsletter signup deserves a specific mention: it sets nothing in your browser, and because we use no open-tracking pixels or click-tracking links in the emails themselves, subscribing does not create any tracking of you at all. The full detail is in Section 5 of the privacy policy.
6. Managing cookies generally
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Because we set none, doing so will not affect this site. Your browser's help pages, or aboutcookies.org, explain how.
7. If this ever changes
If we add anything that needs a cookie — a client login that remembers you, or analytics — we will update this notice, and for anything that is not strictly necessary we will ask for your consent before setting it. We will not quietly start tracking you and bury it in an update.
